The Admirable Trainer

"A great trainer freely transfers the tools of the trade, while an admirable trainer demonstrates their use!" ~Tony Hablian I wrote this epigram years ago on August 1st, 2013 when I realized the difference between a great trainer and someone with the ability to deliver training with the heart and desire to develop strong performers! A trainer can train others on how to complete tasks, show and telling of various training materials, brainstorming on white boards, and at the end of each training lesson, the trainer will ask the trainees to repeat what they’ve learned. This training, no doubt can be accomplished by a great trainer. However, and better yet, an admirable trainer can demonstrate, encourage, motivate, coach and inspire confidence into the trainees! The latter proves to be more important in allowing trainees to become more aware of how they, each individual can and will possess an ability to out-perform what they have just learned, all the while enhancing their inner-confidence on why we hired them to work with us, in the first place! The admirable trainer leaves a legacy of knowledge in the hands of the trainee, thus the trainer is likely to be considered, the admirable trainer! #inspiration #training #coaching #lessons #performing #admirabletrainer

Leader defined!

In any leadership role, we must be servants to those we lead and inspire. Inspiration is internal, and for one to follow along, to help others to follow along, they must be inspired internally. As a leader you must want to inspire all, and to do that, your internal inspiration must be just that! Lead all, think beyond the comfort zone and lead all, and lead all of the time, at any encounter! The definition of a leader: Creates an inspiring vision of the future. Motivates and inspires people to engage with that vision. Key word: people (and not just a few people)! You see, every one of us is a leader to another! In any capacity, in many forms, we each lead! Those that lead by fear, find themselves leading a handful, but those that lead by example, lead handful’s that multiply! Leaders leading others to lead! Others serving others in the same fashion! They lead from below, and not from up top! They help push others up, guiding, uplifting all from their comfort zone. Whether a teacher, boss, coach, parent, owner, friend, customer, client, brother or sister, each will lead, all of us will lead, the question is, how will you?
